Saturday, the 14th of September I fly to Nepal for a six to eight week adventure. I arrive in Kathmandu on the 15th. For the first month, I will be working with women, ages 18-55, who haven't completed high school. My focus will be teaching conversational English and basic technology, such as using a cell phone. I will live with a host family. My plan is to travel on weekends and for two weeks following. I am contemplating staying two weeks longer to work with elephants on a wildlife preserve. The 'rub' of course is that I don't speak Nepalese, and my students and my host family may have very little knowledge of English. Once I have consistent wi-fi, I'll start posting regular updates with photos.
